What this program is
The GEICO At-Home Run Derby sends a guest a single SMS text message containing a link to the video clip recorded at the activation. It is a one-time, transactional message tied to the guest’s own participation.
Who sends these messages
These text messages are sent by Pixel & Texel, the agency that operates the GEICO At-Home Run Derby activation on behalf of GEICO. Pixel & Texel runs the in-person registration and opt-in, creates all message content, and is the registered sender for this toll-free SMS program.
How guests opt in
Opt-in happens in person at the GEICO At-Home Run Derby registration. On a staffed tablet, the guest enters their details and checks a separate, optional box — “Text me my video clip” (unchecked by default). Checking the box is the consent action and is not required to participate.
